L5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship
Delivered in-person over 17-20 months via 39 x half-day training sessions, this programme is designed for middle/senior managers that have an operational area or department with a workforce to lead, manage and support The ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management will be embedded on-programme as learners develop their interpersonal skills; operational and project management skills and personal effectiveness to achieve the Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship.

Course outline:
Our management development programme has been designed to meet the apprenticeship standard with learners able to achieve an ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management while on programme (free of charge).
Each training session has been carefully designed over 36 half-day training sessions which are sceduled on a fortnightly basis. The programme is sequenced to focus firstly on the individual, moving onto working with others, leading and managing their team and stakeholder relationships and then finally focusing on the wider organisational governance and operational planning.
Learners will be supported throughout the programme with regular tripartite reviews to ensure they stay on track and appropriate support provided.

Who Should Attend?
This programme is ideal for individuals who manage teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives as part of their organisation's strategy.
Why Should You Attend?
Level 5 managers are responsible for everything from creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, and leading and managing teams, to managing change, financial and resource management. Responsibilities also include talent management, coaching and mentoring.
Roles may include those of Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager as well as other specialist managers.
This programme will help learners to become more emotionally intelligent, effective coaching & mentoring skills, understand how to lead dispersed teams, learn problem solving tools and techniques and understand change management, effective communication skills the art of influencing and negotiating to build relationships with others and technical skills such as project management, operational management and finance.
Assessment
End Point Assessment (EPA) takes place on completion of the on-programme training plan. Learners will be supported pre-EPA with 4 half-day workshops and mock interviews. EPA is a comprehensive holistic assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours against the national apprenticeship standard involving:
- Project Management Report, presentation and Q&A (50%)
- Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence (50%)
